Lethal Weapon

No, it’s not about the very successful movie series, it’s about the reboot series Lethal Weapon with Damon Wayans and Clayne Crawford. Fortunately, this series wasn’t shot entirely in the studio either, so you can see some locations, at least from the outside.

Roger Murtaugh’s house

It’s a bit over the top that a simple LAPD detective can afford a $2 million house, but you don’t know what his wife earns as a lawyer.

This is a private property. It is forbidden to enter the property. Please do not disturb the residents by ringing their doorbell.

Martin Riggs’ caravan

The scenes of Riggs’ caravan on the beach were shot at several different locations. The pilot episode and some subsequent episodes of the first season were shot at Abalone Cove in Palos Verdes, near Los Angeles.

Later scenes were shot on different beaches in and around Malibu, California. At least one scene was shot at Cabrillo Beach in Malibu.

The “accident” of Riggs’ wife

The tragic accident in which Riggs’ wife’s car is hit by a truck was shot in Long Beach, California. But there was a lot of trickery in the scene and probably only the crash was shot at this intersection, because several buildings don’t exist at this place. If you take a closer look at this scene, you might notice a white building on the street corner, which doesn’t exist there and in the surrounding area. But the Pacific Tower, which is clearly visible in the background, is conspicuous. Unfortunately I am not allowed to show the scene or a still of it for legal reasons.
