Grounded for Life

The series Grounded for Life was shot at the beginning of the 2000s. Unfortunately the series was shot completely at CBS Studio in Hollywood. Even outdoor shots of the Statue of Liberty and other prominent locations in New York City were clearly shot in front of a blue screen. This is very obvious, because for the backgrounds stills were used. Street scenes were also shot entirely in the studio, so the street where the Finnertys live also appears in an episode of the series That ’70s Show. The other way around is the children’s room of Sean and Eddie, which can be seen in a flashback in the first season, Eric Forman’s room from That ’70s Show. Also the cellar of the Finnertys might seem familiar to some from the Bill Cosby Show.
